Pistons Dream Offseason

When they resign Drummond and Motiejunas, they should be left with 12ish million to spend in Free Agency.

Need a backup Point Guard.

Trade Meeks, Bullock and two seconds for Darren Collison.

Sign Courtney Lee to a 3 year, 27 million dollar contract.

If they can afford it, resign Anthony Tolliver.

2016-2017 Roster:

Jackson/ Collison/ Dinwiddie
Caldwell-Pope/ Lee/ Hilliard
Johnson/ Morris
Harris/ Motiejunas/ Tolliver
Drummond/ Baynes.

This is might be more dreamy, but I want to share:

- trade R. Bullock for a future 2nd round pick
- renounce all FA's rights except Drummond and Motiejunas
- trade KCP, J. Meeks, 2018 1st round pick (unprotected) and 2020 1st round pick (unprotected) for B. Beal (s&t: 5-year, $120M)
- re-sign A. Drummond and D. Motiejunas via bird rights
- sign D. J. Augustin (2-year, $6M: including player option) via room exception
- sign O. J. Mayo or J. Crawford (2-year, min: including player option)
- sign R. Hollins, S. Novak, S. Dinwiddie, D. Hillard and J. McRae (1-year, min. ) to complete the roster

Jackson - Augustin - Dinwiddie
Beal - Crawford - McRae
Morris - Johnson - Hillard
Harris - Motiejunas - Novak
Drummond - Baynes - Hollins.

got a better offseason for the pistons

(current slot number for the 2016 picks)

- (TRADE WITH LAL)
PISTONS GETS: '16 2ND ROUND PICK (32)
LAKERS GETS: SG JODIE MEEKS + '18 2ND ROUND PICK (TOP 55 PROTECTED)

pistons add another 2nd round pick and save $6.54 million in 2016-2017 season

lakers add a short term fix at SG with kobe retiring and meeks used to play
with the lakers and they potentially get a future 2nd round pick which the lakers
can get since the pistons are moving up in the power rankings with the recent trades

- (TRADE WITH WAS and UTA)
PISTONS GETS:
WAS = '16 1ST ROUND PICK (12)
UTA = PG TREY BURKE

WIZARDS GETS:
UTA = '16 2ND ROUND PICK (45)
DET = PF MARCUS MORRIS + '16 2ND ROUND PICK (44: DET PICK)

JAZZ GETS:
DET = C ARON BAYNES
WAS = '18 2ND ROUND PICK (31-35 PROTECTED)

pistons add a 1st round pick which is about where their pick they traded to the rockets would be at and they give up morris, baynes and a '16 2nd round pick and this trade would save the pistons about $8.2 million

wizards add another morris and reunite the morris twins again and they add 2 2nd round pick in '16 by trading their '16 1st round pick and '18 2nd round pick

jazz addbaynes who can play more with them then with the pistons and even start alongside favors and they also add a 2nd round pick in '18 and all theyd give up is burke and a '16 2nd round pick

(DRAFT)

(12: from was)
Michigan
sg/ sf caris levert

(32: from lal)
pf/ c kaleb tarczewski

(FREE AGENCY)

- SF/ PF KEVIN DURANT
5 YEAR MAX DEAL (OPT OUT EVERY YEAR, NO TRADE CLAUSE, a lot OF INCENTIVES)
- PF/ C ANDRE DRUMMOND
5 YEAR MAX DEAL
- PF/ C DONATAS MONTIEJUNAS
2 YEAR $7.50 ($5.00 TEAM OPTION FOR 3RD YR) ($7.50 MUTUAL OPTION FOR 4TH YR)
- PF/ C CHRIS KAMAN
1 YEAR $2.00
PF/ C TYLER ZELLER
3 YEAR $7.50 ($2.50 TEAM OPTION FOR 4TH YR) (GUERENTEED $$: YR 2: 75%, YR 3: 50%)

getting durant is on everyones wish list in this offseason but playing with a former teammate can lure him to the pistons as he is friends with reggie jackson, drummond gets a 5 year max extension, montiejunas gets a small extension and kaman is a veteran backup and zeller is a roster fill in

PG: JACKSON - BURKE - DINWIDDIE
SG: POPE - LEVERT - HILLARD
SF: DURANT - JOHNSON - BULLOCK
PF: HARRIS - MONTIEJUNAS - ZELLER
C: DRUMMOND - KAMAN - TARCZEWSKI

i like this one better.

Lakers are rebuilding. What makes you think we will give you a high second round pick for an old rotation player and a top 55 protected pick?
