Finishing off the Timberwolves roster to be suited to Tom Thibodeau's style of play. Adding plenty of veterans that will not only have positive impacts now but can help develop the young core that this Timberwolves has. These trades also help San Antonio get a little younger with some solid defensive talent, which will prolong the inevitable rebuild that they will eventually have to go through. The Nuggets get more picks to bolster their roster much like the 76ers have been doing the last few years, though i believe with these picks, the Nuggets could get the job done much faster than Philly have so far.

T'Wolves Give: Shabaz Muhammed, Nikola Pekovic, Gorgui Dieng, Adrien Payne, Pick #5
T'Wolves Get: Kenneth Faried, Patty Mills, Boris Diaw, Pick #53, Pick #56

Nuggets Give: Kenneth Faried, Pick #15, Pick #53, Pick #56
Nuggets Get: Nikola Pekovic, Shabaz Muhammed, Pick #5 and Pick #29

Spurs Give: Patty Mills, Boris Diaw, Pick #29
Spurs Get: Gorgui Dieng, Adrien Payne, Pick #15

Lineups:

T'Wolves - Sign Joakim Noah (3 year, $19 Million), Nicolas Batum (4 year, $78 Million), Re-Sign Tayshaun Prince (1 year, $1.2 Million)
PG: Ricky Rubio, Patty Mills, Tyus Jones
SG: Andrew Wiggins, Zach Lavine, Pick #56 (Wayne Selden - Kansas)
SF: Nicolas Batum, Tayshaun Prince, Pick #53 (Troy Williams - Indiana)
PF: Kenneth Faried, Boris Diaw, Nemanji Bjelica
C: Karl-Anthony Towns, Joakim Noah, Kevin Garnett

Thoughts?

Makes sense but Nic Batum will likely get more money, sadly, coming from a Hornets fan.

Both Noah and Batum will probably get more money.

I also wouldn't trust Diaw to be effective anywhere outside of San Antonio and away from Pop.

The other big issue I have with this is trading for Faried, the only real positives I see in him are that he is athletic and high-energy. I would much rather have a guy who can space the floor even a little bit in Dieng.

Minor things being that Prince was absolutely horrible last year and should not be brought back under any circumstances, and that this seems to create issues with future cap stuff with Rubio's, Faried's, and Batum's contracts all being in effect when the Wolves need to extend Wiggins and potentially Lavine.

Last thing, this also seems to create a team that is stuck in perpetual 1st/ 2nd round exits. Batum will be exiting his prime and Noah will be done as Wiggins and Towns enter their primes which is when this team should aim to get titles.

@NBA i agree, he probably should be getting between $22-$25 Million this coming year, but in this scenario, let's just pretend he accepts less money to be on a winning team (kind of a Spurs salary type situation with a majority of the team taking less money for more talent) .
