Sixers trade Noel and Sergio Rodriguez

Jazz trade Dante exam

Noel comes off the bench and helps that elite defense continue into the second unit of the jazz behind gobert. Sergio is a quality back up guard to go behind George hill. I actually really like this for the jazz.

Sixers get Dante exam. He's yet to produce in the NBA but has great upside. He's also Australian so him and Simmons might have an instant connection.

Tre, Exum can't shoot. Really. Him and simmons would be a terrible fit.

jvoung, noel is going to cost way too much and the sixers won't resign him. so why not get a solid pg prospect for a player that will be gone in a few months and a nobody?

Because the Sixers are now at the point where they need to start going after best fit rather than best available. Most championship teams fit well together.

Exums pretty young too. Philly could develop that shot a bit and maybe he'll figure it out. Chemistry is key and that Australian connection might really help. Philly doesn't seem to be in a rush so he should have plenty of learn time

Jazz I think are solid now with George hill. They need a back up pg which Rodriguez helps. Noel behind gobert would make scoring against the jazzextremely hardno matter who is on the floor so I like that upgrade too.

Sergio is on a 1-year deal with 76ers; He's a FA in 2017.

I don't see the Jazz being interested in Noel from a pure fit perspective not to mention the financials. They just resigned Gobert and need to still pay Hayward and Hill this upcoming offseason then find money for Favors (I think he is a prime trade candidate especially since Lyles is a better fit alongside Gobert) . I can't imagine the Jazz giving up assets to get a guy they can't even start (Gobert and Noel would be awful offensively together) and then resigning him over their existing starters that are playing at high levels.

But exam can't start either. He's not ready. That team can win now and they need depth right now. Exam just isn't NBA ready so you trade him for two NBA ready back ups to fill out that team based roster.
