At first I agreed with you Skantra, then I took a look at the trade and realized you are wrong if you were implying that the haul for Butler is not enough. That's basically 3 guaranteed top 10 picks in the best draft since 03. 3 you ask? Yes, because the Bulls would lick without Butler and would absolutely fall into the top 10. So likely you would have 3 picks between 5-10. To sweeten that, you are also getting a likely lottery pick (probably high end because the kings probably won't have their stuff together by then) and Okafor. So right there you're potentially getting a complete starting 5 in just 2 years for Butler.

I doubt Pelicans give up gheir top 10 pick for Noel though. Yes he's good, but not that good. And honestly, I feel like the Pelicans feel the need to strike gold and you know you aren't going to do that just by taking Noel, I think they would rather take their chances on the draft and hope for the best.
