Celtics are top 10 in offense but have struggled to regain their defensive identity from last year. Instead of going after scorers like Brook Lopez and Vucevic, they need a different type of big man. Noel is the perfect rim protector and rebounder to pair with Al Horford for the long term, and for a couple of draft picks, they must jump. The Lakers trade one of their vets for a young center with some upside, a nobrainer. The 76ers should trade Noel considering they will have to pay him $20M+ in the offseason to come off the bench. Okafor just doesn't fit the roster so both should be dealt. They add to their draft haul while, add a needed playmaker in Lou Williams, and also get over the league salary floor.

76ers wouldn't do this, they value both those guys too much, and Zeller and Williams with two low picks will not work for them.

Billj, as a Celtics fan I know Danny would do this in a heartbeat. Tyler Zeller, two lottery protected firsts a couple years from now for Noel. That's great for the Celtics, could use his bird rights to resign in offseason.
