Don't think Spurs would be too willing to do that deal. In connection with the second deal I think it could make some sense for the Lakers. It would put them in contention for a playoff spot next year which could help the attract FA. Lakers would have close to 40M in cap space so they could easily make a run at George or Westbrook, then use Bird rights to resign Randle and Green to create a very solid lineup going forward. If they traded for one of them beforehand (so they got their Bird rights) they could sign both of them and add them to Drummond to create a solid big 3.

I'm still a believer in Drummond who although is having a down year is only 23, and still 2nd in the league in rebounding. I don't know much about Zubac and how good he is but I wouldn't consider #2 and Deng too much for Drummond especially considering that Ball wouldn't really be a natural fit for the Lakers who have more of a need at the center position. Also, Drummond is young enough that even if they didn't land a star in 2018 FA he could develop with their young core.

Pistons like Drummond have seem to stalled this year after showing promise the past few years. They've made some questionable signings recently but I don't think they are that bad off. They were allegedly shopping Jackson and Drummond at the deadline so if SVG is a believer in Ball I could see them doing this type of trade.

LA shouldn't do that second trade.
Drummond would be a good fit in that team, but i think Zubac could become good too. LA should play him another year and let him develop.

jaw. I think the reason why Andre dipped a little this year, as well as everyone else, is because of SVG . He is not a players coach, he tends to bring out the worst in every player. Players are quitting on the court with this guy as coach and president.

While we do get rid of Dengs contract, Zubac has shown some nice potential to become a starting center in this league. Teams were asking for nance or Zubac with deng or mozgov to negate the negative trade value. I would rather have someone like Ball, Fultz, or Jackson over Drummond IMO.

Spurs would consider that deal, if only because Ginobli very well may retire, and Mills may get very expensive. If the Spurs don't perform well in the playoffs, it also signals it's time for a change, and Green is a reasonable sacrifice.

Only concern is Clarkson taking time away from Murray, but with being able to play off the ball (Clarkson), that shouldn't be a big issue.
