Blazers - Knicks trade

Knicks trade - Melo
for
Blazers - Allen Crabbe or Evan Turner plus Meyers Leonard and a first round pick.

Knicks would get some young talent to play with and blazers get a veteran to help them compete in the West. It would be a very short term view for the blazers but if they want to win now it could give them that edge. Also with all the young talent melo could even come in as 6 man and murder the secondary units or get all he wide open shots he wants.

Portland certainly needs to make some moves as they are on pace to be in luxury tax for awhile and they have 3 1sts in upcoming draft.

Not sure Melo is the right choice as he is a questionable fit alongside one of the most offensive heavy backcourts in the league and I highly doubt Melo would waive his no-trade clause to go there in the first place.

From a value standpoint, it looks good for both teams. I agree with jaw457 though that Melo would have a hard time finding shots on the same court with Dame and CJ, and would most likely not waive his no trade to go there.

not sure melo waives that no-trade clause but value works out for both teams. But with how bad NY treats him along with Portland having the most strip clubs per capita might be enough for him to waive it!
