Atlanta Hawks Offseason Plans
START REBUILDING because this team does not have a future.

Let Hardaway walk. Don't need to overpay another guard (Bazemore was the first) and be stuck in a situation like the Trailblazers.

Trade 1
ATL: Favors and Burks
Utah: Millsap (S&T)

Reasoning: Utah gets an all star 4 that pairs well with Gobert. Millsap returns to his former team. Utah only has the cap space to sign Millsap if it's a sign in trade because they have a lot of salary already on the books for next season. Atlanta gets two often injured players but both are still young and may just need a change of scenery. Favors gets to play in his hometown. Burks can add some offense punch to an offensively deficient team.

Trade 2:
ATL: Ramon Sessions (CHA picks up option), Jeremy Lamb, and 2017 Cha 1st
Cha: Dwight Howard, Wilson Chandler, Jameer Nelson
Den: Nicolas Batum

Reasoning: Atlanta gets a veteran backup pg and a shooter who is from Atlanta. A draft pick also helps their miniature rebuild. Charlotte gets a big who could thrive in the pick and roll with kemba and provides interior defense. Chandler gives them some bench scoring. Nelson is a great veteran pg to solidify a second unit. Denver gets batum whose high basketball IQ, ability to play multiple positions, and length could help a young, defensively challenged team.

Atlanta drafts Zach Collins with Charlotte pick, drafts Terrance Ferguson with own pick, and drafts Jawun Evans with Brooklyn's 2nd round pick.

Atlanta gets two of the youngest players in the draft, who both remain very unknown because of a lack of playing time. Evans could be a very good backup pg in the future.

I had the idea in mind too of a Millsap sign and trade for Favors and Burks. I like that trade.

The best part of this. IF it happened. Is that it leaves Atlanta about 20 million under the cap. Enough to go after a decent FA.
