Isn't Griffin a free agent? Why would the Celtics not just sign him and use Crowder and Bradley to acquirea Butler, or a PG13 or whoever else?

Griffin will be a UFA once he declines his player option and the C's wouldn't want him, he's played 67,35, and 61 games the last 3 years. At 30 million a year they would pass.

They could fire Doc, although unlikely.

But to hire Mark Jackson? Warriors fired him because he was a cancer. He didn't help GS to get them to where they are today, the players did.

Is it a foregone conclusion that Blake is going to opt out? I mean he has gotten hurt in the last 2 playoffs and seasons. He has to be red marked "injury prone" by now right?

And as for firing Doc, you really can't do that since he is the GM too. It would need to be the owner's decision to fire Doc. And as Billj said Jackson would not be a good coach to take over.

Yes it's a foregone conclusion. He'll get a max deal this offseason from half the league. There's no way he passes on a 4-5 year max deal for a year, especially with the cap spike allowing him to have a major raise.
