I don't think philly is getting irving for 2 lottery picks. he's an established superstar who is only 24. As much as i would want it to happen, it would be a as miracle.

I think the Clippers would rather have Irving than the two picks. I agree with Jvoug, the 76ers aren't giving up enough. If they want Irving I think you would have to add atleast this years lottery pick as well as possibly a few of their lesser younger players. I think Shumpert or Jr going to Philly would good for everyone involved as well. The 76ers need a sg and the Clippers aren't going to be competitive after gutting their team. Maybe, throw one of the 76ers back up centers to Cleveland.

Reworking it a bit

Cleveland gets Jordan, Melo, and Paul

Philly gets Kyrie and Smith

The Clippers get Shumpert, Frye (exp), Jefferson (exp), Cedi Osman, Felder, Noah, Holmes, 17 and 19 Philly, 17 Lakers, 2 2nds from Philly, Knicks 17 and 19, 2 2nds from the Knicks, Cavs 21 and 23, swaps with the Cavs in 20 and 22, and 2 2nds from the Cavs

The Knicks get Griffin and Crawford.

The Cavs sell out to try ans get more Championships in Lebron's prime

Philly gets a back court that will get them back in the playoffs.

The Clippers drop a ton of salary and have all the assets they'll need to rebuild

The Knicks get a young super star to help attract more talent and out from under Noah's contract.

I don't think you will be able to add three max deal players to a team who already has two max deal players.

At there current salaries it works shrink. Obviously, if Paul wants it his salary could be 30 something million instead of 22 million next year, but maybe for a chance at a title and to play with Melo and Lebron he'd be willing to take a smaller raise.

The CBA has rules for the luxury tax and the repeater rule to make it financially impossible for teams to have $180 mil payrolls, that cost them $400 mil a year.

In the trade Scenerio they aren't adding salary and I'm not sure how the numbers work with the repeat tax, but with the rise in salary cap they would be roughly 10 million dollars less over the line.

So the knicks trade pick for free agent and 30+ yr old sg. I get it great trade for ny.

33.2 LeBron
22.6 Love
22.6 Jordan
16.4 TT
26.2 Melo
30.0? Paul -- still not his max
------------------
$151 million for six players

Need eight more players for roster minimum.

Estimate $120 mil for the lux threshold next year, so $40 mil over the lux.

$65 mil in repeater lux taxes on the first $20 over the lux, $143 mil on the next $20

$151 + $65 + $143 = $360 million payroll.

Definitely not what you need Philadelphia . everyone would like to have Irving on their team. But the Sixers have a very good team of young men only need their bank's punctuation and patience . nothing else.

Everything above is terrible for the clippers. not to mention both cp and blake are free agents and not tradeable. if they were to blow the team up, they can't use blake and cp, they won't blow it up for scrubs, and will want young players and draft picks, not noah and shumpert.
