If Nets are to sign any FA they will have to overpay them. So from that point if view it is not to much for gay, same goes for Ibaka. If they keep Lopez that is one solid line up in Lin/ LeVert/ Gay/ Ibaka/ Lopez.

Gay wouldn't be the worst pickup for Nets but don't think they could attract someone like Ibaka no matter how much they paid him. They might as well try to win as many games as possible to make Billy Knights trade not seem like the complete franchise decimating dumpster fire it was.

Maybe they should overpay slightly younger FA than Gay who potentially could overperform and become a trade asset.
