SAC: T Chandler, #2 pick

PHO: A Tolliver (waive), G Papagiannis, #8, & #10 picks

With Gay opting out and the franchise's history of not being able to sign free agents, Kings need salary on their books. This uses a mid and a late lottery pick to move up and get J Jackson, probably the best wing prospect in the draft this year. They take on Chandler'a contract, but that helps them reach the salary floor with only $49M in contracts.

The top of the draft is loaded with PGs. They already have theirs in Bledsoe unless they want to trade him and take one of the PG prospects. This gives them 2 top 10 picks in a deep draft and a young center prospect they can develop and take a look at.

I think the Suns would much rather get Jackson themselves to play alongside Bledsoe, Booker, Chriss, Bender, etc. They need to add that second big player alongside Booker. At 8 and 10 they'd have a chance at guys like Markkanen or Monk. but those aren't the guys they need. With no dominant center they might as well take the top guy at the 3. If someone like the 76ers or Lakers wanted to move up a couple of spots. then you'd have plenty of guys to look at. But all the way back to 8 would require a lot more for me.

100% speculation here. Suns luck out and get #1 pick. Lakers miss out on the top 3.which reverts to the Sixers. PHX trades that number #1 pick and someone like Brandon Knight perhaps to PHILA. for their top 2 picks (#3? #4?) . Sixers can take Fultz, Ball. whoever. Suns can take Jackson and Fox.
Again. purely speculative.
