Don't think it takes a #8 pick to move Noah's contract. I don't value Okafor that highly tho, a late 1st rounder at best. Due to his skillset he doesn't project to be more than a good backup like a Kanter or Monroe type.

Knicks aren't likely attracting any top FA even if they move Noah's contract so not sure why they'd give up a valuable pick in a deep draft to do so. They should get their guard of the future (whether that's Smith, Ntilikina or Monk ) with the pick.

I thought the same. Giving up the 8th pick to unload a contract is too much. But you need to give up a firts round pick. With Okafor and the 2nd rounder you move up some spots. Maybe the 76ers have to add a little more.

I like this as a start to something as a Sixers fan. okafor plus other pieces/ picks for 8th pick and Noah would work for me.

If they're giving up the #8 in order to move Noah, something they should definitely consider, they should be able to get back more than just Okafor. There's a few teams out there who've completely shot themselves in the foot when it comes to draft picks, and either have the cap space, or have good contracts that could be swapped for Noah.

noah and Okafor = equal value.
