4 way Trade Proposal GS - Bos - Dal - Min

GS trades Klay Thompson
GS Receives Seth Curry, Dwight Powell, #9 pick from Mavs (draft Lauri Markannen)

Dal trades Seth curry, Dwight Powell, Wes Matthews, and #9 pick
Dal receives klay Thompson and Ricky Rubio

Bos trades 1st pick
Bos receives Dieng and 7th pick (draft PG)

Minnesota trades Rubio, dieng, 7th pick
Minnesota receives Matthews, Zeller (waive), Mickey (waive), 1st pick (draft Fultz)

GSW opens up some cap space. Adds a knockdown shooter in Curry. Adds an athletic, rim-chasing big in Powell. Adds a stretch 5 who would add even more space on offense.

Dal gets the pass first pg they desire and one of the best 3 and d players in the league. They may be getting a little too much in this deal. 2019 first may have to be thrown in.

Bos gets a solid all around big man without letting go of any of its main contributors. In this draft, the 7th pick should still be a good prospect but I don't know if Ainge would see Dieng as valuable enough to bridge the gap between these 6 picks.

Minnesota drafts Fultz. He could be there pg for the next decade +. This move also free cap space allowing them to look for a pf (Millsap?) in free agency

I believe this trade makes all 4 teams better than before. What do you guys think?

Not enough for Klay and Boston could get more out of the 1st pick.

Why would the Celtics do this when they could just sign a big in free agency and keep the first pick?

Out of all those names, the only one that would get Ainge to return a phone call would be Thompson. Dieng doesn't come close to moving the needle.

You guys seem to be very high on Markelle Fultz. In my opinion, Dennis Smith and Gorgui Dieng (as a pair) are more valuable than Fultz. Dieng is a proven, starting caliber big man who can play either C or PF and he is signed for the next 4 years. If the Celtics were to look for a big man in free agency, they'd have to pay him more than Dieng. For the Celtics, this trade nets them a quality big man, a young guard with a lot of potential, and they maintain enough cap space to sign a max player such as Hayward.
