i looked at Clippers salary situation and it ain't look so bad
-> IF CP3 and Griffin only sign for 1year contracts, in 2018 also Jordan and Rivers could opt out. Only 2 guaranteed contracts would be left: Crawford 14.5m and W.Johnson 6.5m

So Clippers could easily sign another major FA like LeBron or Wade (or both if they take half)

2017:
- sign CP3 and Griffin for 1y max
- buy 1-2 x 2nd round pick 76ers
- resign Mbah, let Reddick & Speights walk
- sign FA for only 1y

2018:
- trade W.Johnson for further cap relief
- sign LeBron(20), Wade(20), fill the roster via FA signings (veterans) and draft
- resign Griffin for 4y near max contract, CP3 3y 90m

Paul and Griffin 1 yr contracts. Too funny.

Clippers are better off blowing up the team and CP3 going to a contender and Blake to the highest bidder.

Can actually see LBJ leaving Cav's next yr. He's got a "legacy" to uphold.

Paul is too old and Griffin too injury prone to opt for a 1 year deal. Its looking like Clippers are going to have to blow up the team which is bad since they don't have much young talent and have traded away a few of their future 1sts already.

I think Paul would be a great fit with Spurs, Pelicans, Jazz or Bulls if they could attract some more talent to join Butler there. Griffin I'm not certain where he'd really fit best but previously heard rumors of Lakers and his hometown OKC Thunder having interest. Thunder could make it work if they do a sign and trade centered around Kanter's contract and others to make money work.

There is a lottttt more to it than you would think. Check into cap holds for their free agents. Also, Blake and CP will get max deals this offseason. DJ and rivers cannot opt out this offseason. They will be above the cap unless they renounce their rights to blake and cp and with that, they would lose a ton of money.
