warriors need to make space to offer players more money , thus trading Thompson since he did bad in the playoffs...

Indy is steering this ship, 5 and 28, Clarkson and Randle aren't going to do it. They'll get more at the deadline.

The golden state trade is not sensible! If the warriors were to trade Thompson they could get a much better return.

Those all are bad for the other team.

Although Luol Deng doesn't really hurt the Kings since they have all young talent and moving toward the future, cap space is valuable since teams like Portland are willing to give up assets to dump salaries. Therefore I don't like the value for them unless Lakers were to add more like Randle.

I don't believe Lakers will be able to get George that easily unless they wait until the season has started and the George to LA in 2018 rumors scare teams away from trading for him.

Warriors wouldn't give up Klay for that little either. Warriors don't need to clear much to retain their FA and if Durant takes a slight discount for 1 year (i think by just accepting his player option) Warriors would save enough to resign their FA this year and then next year can give Durant the max since they'd have his Bird rights. Thompson didn't do bad in playoffs. He didn't shoot well for most of them but his elite defensive ability influenced games.

The Kings shouldn't have to take on Deng. If they do, then they should only have to give up one pick.

That might get George, but I'm not positive. If they've got the 5 and the 10, I don't think Indy would settle for the 28 instead of those two together.

That's an insane trade idea for Thompson though. The other two have some merit, but there's no way that Golden State even thinks about that. If they're going to trade him, it'll be for a better package, and probably to the East. I don't think they're going to be dealing with that this summer though. The guys involved all say they're willing to take less to stay together as of now, so they'll do just that. Moving forward it might be a different story.
