Not really a fan of this trade for any of the teams. Aldridge reportedly wants out of SA since they aren't using him right when the reality is he is aging and not as good as he used to be. Spurs would be wise to shop him but I think what they'd primarily want in dealing him would be cap relief so they could pursue a top FA. They don't get this in the trade nor do they get a #2 offensive option to replace Aldridge's scoring which would make Kawhi's life that much more difficult.

This may be the best Knicks can hope for with Melo (taking back minimal salary) but I don't like it since he is still a prolific scorer and not the problem in NY. The Knicks need to address the true issue which is Phil Jackson who for some reason is trying to get rid of all their talent in Melo and Porzingis.

The Cavs can't do this for salary reasons but I don't like it for basketball reasons. Getting Green would be great but I'd hate to add Aldridge and Anthony to that roster. Both are very good players but only on the offensive end which isn't where Cavs need help and they certainly don't need both if they are keeping Love. Cavs also got dominated on the boards against Warriors and lose their best rebounder in Thompson who is also a great pick and roll defender. Aldridge has always been extremely soft player on the interior and would be an ill fit at center (which he'd be forced to play in this scenario) and Melo would probably be just a guy who gets you buckets off the bench.
