I don't think Pacers would pass up this offer but it would be tough for Lakers to execute. I also think Lakers want to keep alive the pipe dream of signing Lebron next offseason so I don't see them committing all their cap space although these signings would make a lot of sense and vault Lakers to #2 or 3 team in the West so long as Ball can be competent early on.

Lakers say no? Sure you lose Ingram, but you also clear Deng's deal and get the guy you're pining for. If Indy was not taking Deng's contract in this deal, then maybe it should be a no from the Lakers, but this opens up all the cap space they'll want to have either this year or next.

The only way the Lakers do this is if the Pacers have a trade in hand that would include an extension. They're still pretty set on getting George in FA, so they're not going to pull a Knicks and gut their team for a player they'll wind up with anyway.
