DETROIT - HOUSTON - MINNESOTA

Detroit receive Ryan Anderson and Ricky Rubio (add a first pass PG and a sniper from the three point line) .

Houston receive John Leuer (similar type of player like Anderson but with cheaper) .

Minnesota receive Reggie Jackson (add more shooting)

Then resign KCP.

Pistons Lineup:

KCP - Kennard
Harris - Stanley
Anderson - Morris
Drummond - Marjanovic

This is some wizardry by the Pistons turning two overpaid guys into two better players at the same position. Rockets are looking to clear cap space but this deal clears a little over 10 mill which I'm not sure is enough for Rockets to do what they want and significant drop off in talent from Anderson to Leuer (Anderson shot over 40% from 3 while Leuer was under 30%) . I think Rockets would need further compensation for it to work.

Awful for the Twolves. Jackson looked horrible on the court once he returned from injury last year grading out as one of the worst defensive point guards and wasn't great offensively. There has also been tension in the locker room with Jackson dating back to OKC and more recently in Detroit (with the payer's only meeting in December when his teammates ripped his play) . This isn't even to mention Jackson's large contract that he hasn't played up to at this point. I'd easily much rather have Rubio than take a chance on Jackson. I don't think Jackson is completely worthless but I wouldn't give up this much to take a chance on him especially when Twolves could trade Rubio and likely sign a better pg in FA.

MIN would not trade Rubio for the inferior Jackson.
