Boston - Jazz

With Boston trying to get Gobert too in the Hayward s&t

Boston : Hayward, Gobert, Diaw

Utah : Olynik, Smart, Tatum, Nets 2018, Lakers 2018

They already have Hayward, and Diaw is just about cooked, so it's basically Smart and three top-5 lottery picks for Gobert. Not going to happen. Smart, the Lakers pick and another non-lottery No. 1, maybe. But not as constructed above.

But they don't have Hayward unless they get rid of salary.

Olynyk is heading to Miami.

Can't legally do sign and trades like this it would have to be two separate trades. Even after getting Hayward Celtics could still use a big man and Gobert would be a great fit. However, I don't like how much they are giving up here since Hayward is essentially free (they could trade Smart to another team for a draft pick then just sign Hayward) so Tatum, Nets 2018 and Lakers/ Griz pick is too much for my taste.

As a Celtics fan I would love to get the Hayward and Gobert, but considering he just signed a big money extension they would need to clear even more cap space. Plus there is no way they give up Taytum or the Nets pick. The Celtics have either completed their puzzle or are a piece away from doing so. They should keep their 2 (most likely) lottery picks and go after guys like Donich who is an amazing international SG who can replace Bradley and the other pick on Ayton who is a big talented center who would allow Horford to move back to PF.

A lineup of
IT
Donich
Hayward
Horford
Ayton

With Smart (resign) Rozier, Brown Taytum, Zizic and other off the bench seems scary to me, maybe even scary than this years team.

Plus this is assuming that Crowder gets sent to the Jazz for Hayward, but If they can do the trade without him and without giving up any of the players listed above then just add him to the bench next year and the team will be so much deeper and scarier.

What do you guys think?
