Pistons trade Drummond, Jackson, Bradley, Leuer, 2018 1st
Pistons receive Irving, Thompson, Bender, Hezonja, Georges-Hunt, and Felder

Magic trade Vucevic, Hezonja, Georges Hunt
Magic receive Shumpert, Frye

Why?
A starting lineup of Bledsoe, Bradley, James, Love, and Drummond is full of defensive potential. Knight would also be a solid combo guard off the bench. And they retain smith, Korver, and Jefferson who Wilson come off the bench too.

Pistons get a young stud in Kyrie, a potentially lethal stretch 4 in Bender, and a hustle center in Tristan. Hezonja is also still young and has room to develop.

Bledsoe and Knight do not fit in the same timeline of Booker and Jackson. Also, the west is so competitive right now, they might as well build for the future, not the present. Jackson and Vucevic are good NBA players who could be solid starters for a couple of years until their contracts run out and the Suns are ready to compete.

And for the Magic, they add frontcourt shooting and wing defense. Both of which are team needs.

Awful value for Magic. Both Shumpert and Frye can leave after this season and they are giving up their best player in Vucevic, and Hezonja who hasn't done anything really in first two seasons but is still only 22 and has upside.

Trade is very good for the Pistons who land best player in the trade and the two most promising prospects while getting Thompson who can do most of what Drummond can do.

I think it would be a solid gamble for the Cavs. I think Suns could do better, Vucevic is good but not worth taking on all that salary and giving up Bender. Pistons 1st wouldn't be that valuable given Pistons return and them being in weak east.
