I'm torn over if I'd rather have Cousins or George if I'm Lakers in this scenario. Cousins would be the better fit as far as a traditional lineup if Lakers had Ingram, Lebron, Nance and Kuzma (able to play both forward spots) but he has the character issues and headaches and even once he got traded wasn't as good defensively as he was in prior seasons. However, with big centers willing to bang inside getting rarer and rarer Cousins could be a nightly mismatch and valuable asset against a team like Warriors.

Lakers could also go after Warriors model and go with George as a versatile player who can switch on to almost every position defensively and just add an average, cheap center via FA to eat up minutes and allow Lebron, George and eventually Ingram and Ball to do most of the heavy lifting. Lebron could play the 4 which would probably suit him more as he gets older especially with pf's getting smaller and more perimeter orientated.
