Because the knicks will just keep melo and have his contract come off the books if he demands they trade him to the rockets. Yes, he can deny any trade, but the knicks can deny making an offer. Which they will, if it just includes anderson. Knicks have literally zero motivation to trade him if they don't get a positive return. Its either a net zero return, or a positive return. Knicks aren't taking back crap, especially anderson, in a trade. FACT.

Love the move for the Cavs even if it makes their lineup a little unorthodox. Melo in theory should help Cavs chances of retaining Lebron and if not they'd still have Porzingis and Ntilikina to build around. Cavs also clear cap space saving tons of money.

Not a fan of the Knicks moving Porzingis especially when they are as bad as they are and don't have that much cap flexibility. I'd consider it more heavily if Noah and Frye were added so Knicks could get out of his contract.
