This could work for all teams

Hou: C Anthony

Spurs: T Ariza+ R Anderson+ 1rnd pick Hou 2018

Was:LM Aldridge

NY: Oubre+ Morris+ J smith+ Mahinmi+ 1rnd pick Was 2018+ 1rnd pick Hous 2020

Hou receive the star they want.

LMA is better then Anderson, but Anderson can do what the Spurs need him to do. Ariza would be a great sixth man. And they can draft another young talent with the extra draft pick.

NY get's a great return for Carmelo. Two young players and two draft picks, so they can rebuilt

6 pieces for Anthony?
Any one of them would get the deal done.

Like the deal but Knicks aren't getting 2 firsts for Anthony. Maybe make them 2nds or nothing

HOU doenst have their pick in 2018. Plus SAS won't take on Anderson.

I think you're over estimating what Aldridge is worth (he isn't a huge upgrade over Morris who is the better defender and has a more modern skill set) and if the Wizards were willing to do this, why wouldn't the Spurs just take Morris Oubre and a 1st, which gives them similiar players that are significantly younger and a 1st that will probably be slightly better.

So, I could see the Spurs taking Anderson and Ariza if it meant a pick as well, but Houston doesn't have one to give. As such, maybe Shawn Long or Troy Williams come in the deal, and the Spurs send a second to Washington with LMA.

Houston can send a future pick to the Knicks, but Washington shouldn't. If the Knicks can get Oubre and Morris, the fuller and a single pick is still a big win for them.
