Wesley Mathew is a contract dump, and Harris may be cut, so how does that get you a first rounder?

Wesley Matthews is a big upgrade over Evan Turner and has one less year on his contract. Devin Harris and Ed Davis are about similar value. Plus this deal saves the Blazers a small amount of money.

Portland shouldn't need to add a draft pick unless they are adding Meyers Leonard.

I would love this for Portland. Matthews was a fan favorite, and he fits a need (a true 3 and D guy) . Trading a first isn't ideal, but if it's top 10 or lottery protected, you're not giving up a ton.

Mathews health issues makes up for Turner extra yr. Turner and Mathews are the same talent per minutes played vs games.
