Should the Knicks accept this trade??

Shumpert, Frye, Jefferson and Zizic for Carmelo Anthony..

I think the Knicks need to get Anthony out at any cost. He has no reason to be on the Knicks and is just delaying the rebuilding process. Honestly I think they would make the Houston trade but don't want Andersons contract for the length it is so they may need to accept something like this just to move on.

Knicks need a first rounder from a team that's lottery top 10 they need to find a trade that gets them a pick and a talent player young coming back. So teams like Houston or Clippers or cavs won't be good for them. They should try to get other teams like Miami and kings included

Knicks and Miami

Knicks get windslow and first round pick

Heat get Melo. Then heat resign wade when the bulls buy him out.

Heat line up woukd be

Dragic
Wade/ waiters
Melo/ Johnson
Olynyk
Whiteside.

The first trade is not good for the Knicks. The only long terms piece is Zizic, and they have a future front court of Zinger and Willie already.

Heat don't make that second deal. Winslow is a valuable piece, and the pick will likely be in the teens. I could see Richardson and Johnson though.

Zizic could be a good rebuilding piece.

Honestly, I don't think the Cavs really have much interest in Melo, but if you add Osman, Felder and a 2nd, or lottery protected first with that deal, I think the Knicks would have to take a long look at it. Having Anthony on the roster this year will be a nightmare, the team has no hope at the playoffs but also isn't top 5 pick bad (which is a fairly bad position to be in), and they're about to lose him for nothing. So if they can get any decent assets out of him and no long term salary, it's probably a win. Between the no trade clause and overall apathy for Melo, the bar has been set pretty low for any potential Melo deal.
