I know I am going to get unbelievable for this. But i think it should work otherwise i wouldn't post it. Why wouldn't it work?

In the middle of the season, if the Pels lose and eventually Boogie isn't working out for the team or AD trade:

Tristan Thompson + 1st Round Pick (BKN)

For Cousins

Finally a team that can challenge the Warriors.

What a finals it would be.

The Brooklyn pick is insurance against LeBron walking away after this season. If they let the pick go for Boogie and Bron-Bron skates again, the Cavs basically become a Rust Belt version of the old Kings with a pissed-off Cousins in the middle of it all.
But you never know. James makes most of the personnel decisions now anyway, and he could blackmail the Cavs into dealing the pick. He's hardly averse to doing something like that.

Yeah, Too bad it won't be happening.

It's possible if the Pelicans struggle and/ or think they're going to lose him. I'm not sure that would be the package though. That would probably be best case scenario for the Cavs. If they acquire Cousins, they would have move TT before next year to save money, but NO might be more interested in the Cavs expiring contracts plus the pick and Some combination of Zizic, Osman and Felder.

I honestly don't think the Nets pick will be dealt unless Lebron agrees to an extension because of the player we picked up in a trade with the pick or the Cavs feel it's a last ditch effort to impress Lebron and they feel no other option but to do this whether is because of injury or something and a need needs to be filled.
