I think it would be a great move for the Cavs. Love is solid, but he's not getting any younger, and Turner is currently cheaper. Thad also gives you solid production. The Pacers, if they were ever thinking of moving Turner, get a fantastic return. I don't think the Jazz do this though. As I said, I like Love, but he's not the type of player you're looking for if you're in their situation. He isn't enough to put them over the top, and he's not young enough to start rebuilding around with a blowup.

I think it would be decent for Utah. They need to replace Haywards scoring, Love would be a great fit next to Gobert, and it's not like they're giving up anything all that valuable to them. If they had Love, they'd be garaunteed a playoff spot ( I'd argue Love is better than Hayward) so the pick would be fairly late Favors isn't a good fit next to Gobert. He will be a really expensive back up soon. Burks is decent, but he's always injured and their rotation has fine without him. For the price, I don't see age being a big deal. It's not perfect, but they aren't mortaring their future on Love.

I'm not sure about it for the Cavs on one side, I love Turner. The guy is going to be really good sooner rather than later, but I think for the next year or two Love is still the better option. He can still be an elite scorer and rebounder and has turned into a pretty solid defender (he actually was the best Cavs defender according to real d plus minus for what it's worth) . According to Lou they're going to feature him more on the post. They did that last year in the first quarter of games at times and he looked like Minnesota Love and if the Cavs are starting a rebuild next year he could be worth some decent young players or picks. I also don't like the thought of starting a rebuild and immediately having to give up a max contract to a guy. Starting a rebuild with a top 5 pick is a little riskier, but it keeps cap space open to take on bad contracts and etc. I think the Cavs threaded the needle with the Irving trade. I think this trade does that to an extent, but it seems like this makes them a little worse this year and makes it a little harder to rebuild next year. I also think they could get Young for a protected first, some expirings, and maybe a something else small if they really wanted him.

I would do that trade.
I really like Turner, but i think we should go for a total rebuilt.

I still can't believe we trade PG13 for Oladipo.
