The Thunder traded J Harden to Houston for Lamb+ Martin+ 1rnd pick (Adams)

Two other teams had a chance

Toronto offered Valaciunas+T Ross, but they thought Valanciunas would have a higher sealing.
Imagine:
C: A Johnson
PF: Bargnani
SF: Derozan
Sg: Harden
PG:Lowry

The other team was Washington, they offered Beal and Singleton

What do you guys think would have been the best trade?

beal might have made a huge difference in kd staying in okc.

If not trading isn't an option, Beal. It's hard to judge in retrospect though. Lamb looked like a potentially solid player with upside and Martin was coming off a huge year.

On the surface i think the Washington offer was best. There is no way to know what impact those offers would have made on future moves though.

It wound up that Beal may have been the big get, but I think Houston was still the best package. When you take health into consideration, I think Adams is the best piece of all of those players. They also got Martin, who at that point was a really good scorer if nothing else, Lamb, who was another interesting kid, the #32 back after it took an interesting tour through half the league where they took Abrines (meh) and a future 1st where they took Mitch McGary.

A scorer, a young talent in Lamb, and three chances at another good player (in the form of #s 12, 21 and 32) for a guy they didn't think they could keep is probably the best of the bunch. I'd really have to know what else was coming with Beal/ Singleton or Val/ Ross to determine what was better, but that's not likely to ever come out.
