Cousins is going to be a free agent next year, so you better wait one year. ( Remember the C anthony trade)

That's to much for Cousins and this trade would kill the Lakers. They wouldn't have the pieces to get rid of Deng's contact. That essentially ruins any chance they could for a big 3 and they trade Ingram who is probably their best prospect. For someone on like Lebron, the Lakers youth would be a huge selling point.

rkenne i was thinking the same about ingram/ deng but then i noticed the line about deng going to a 3rd team.
this is a pretty decent trade, pretty good return for no considering cousins situation. i like a cousins, pg, bradley trio (which means lopez and kcp are gone, but they seem like backup plans if la fails in free agency anyways) . i honestly don't see lebron going to la (but then again miami shocked me back when)

Lakers need to shed a lot of cap. So by trading for cousins they get cap hold for about 20 MIL on cousins to sign other 3 people. Like Bradley 20 MIL first year and 27 for James and George on one year deals. Then sign cousin to Max. Ball can work on shooting and defense. Lakers could be better but management signed Deng and tm to those4 year deals. It's strange not seeing Lakers compete. They need a miracle like this the way teams are stacked.
