Lakers/ Pelicans

Lakers get Asik and Ajinca.

Pelicans get Deng and Zubac.

Lakers get 2 shorter contracts than Deng's and clear around 5 million of the books for free agency. They could even stretch waive Asik or medically waive him since he was diagnosed with Chron's disease.

Pelicans get much needed wing depth and a young prospect in Zubac to be DMC' backup.

He is done why exactly? Was it his fault that Lakers offered him all that money 14 months ago? Lakers made him look like one of the worst players in the league and now they don't even play him because they don't want him. If I was at his place I would happily sit on the Lakers bench and would be screwing their free agency plans until my contract would be done.

And one more thing, if not for his contract he would probably be playing for a contender now for veterans minimum, because he can still ball and provide solid depth and veteran leadership.

He is a way better version of Richard Jefferson and Jefferson was playing decent last year for the Cavs.
