I don't think that Vancouver pick has much value. There hasn't been a team in Vancouver in about 10 years.

Orlando needs more immediate help. While Ingram is good, those draft picks won't help all that much. If they trade Vucevic and Gordon, it needs to be for 2018 1sts.

It's not like the Magic have most of the young talent in place they'll need to one day compete for a championship. I'm not sure why they would have to be 18 picks or players that can help immediately. Their core is fairly young, but even if things go right, what is the upside for that team?

Orlando isn't competing for ships right now, they're competing for fans. Its been a rough 6 years with no end in sight. If they dump for trash and picks multiple years away, they'll lose Even more fans. Having just built that arena, that's the last thing ownership should want.

Plus Fournier Ingram and Simmons would be a log jam at sf, and until Isaac fills out his frame he's better suited for that too. So then it turns out you have no pg, a sg who can't shoot, and an super overpriced c at all other positions. Yay.

Football, I just don't think Simmons and possibly Fournier are long term answers for Orlando. Both seem to be putting up empty stats on a bad team. Not to mention the fact that Simmons and Fournier can both play the 2 and 3 and it's not unreasonable to say that Ingram and Isaac can spend some time at the 4. Of all 4 of those players, I think Ingram has the highest potential peak. At Simmons age he probably is past the point of getting significantly better and Fournier seems to have stagnated the past few years. As much as the fans want to see a winner, even if they can turn this group into a low end playoff team, is that going to be enough to interest fans? They've been making win now moves the past 2 years and outside of possibly the Simmons signing, they've all basically backfired. The management just appears hapless and delusional. Atleast if you're going to lose, why not try to do it with some sense of direction. Look at where teams like Philly and Minnesota are who took the approach that they were going to tank for a few years and then once they had the young talent together, they made moves with the capspace they created and some of the picks/ young players they had stock piled. They seem much better off than teams like the LA, the Suns, and Orlando or even the Heat that decided they weren't tanking. The only team that's really done it half way successfully is Boston and that was more because of the absurd trade they made with Brooklyn and IT vastly out pacing any expectations.
