Everyone loves a super complicated, 3-way deal, so just for fun, here's a three way deal between Cavs, Hornets, and Clippers:

Cavs receive:
1. Deandre Jordan
2. Kemba Walker
3. Nicolas Batum
4. Patrick Beverley
5. Sindarius Thornwell

Hornets receive:
1. Tristain Thompson
2. JR Smith
3. Iman Shumpert
4. Brooklyn pick

Clippers receive:
1. Kevin Love
2. Isiah Thomas
3. Derrick Rose
4. Ante Zizic
5. Cavs 1st round pick 2018

Cavs finally get defensive minded with Jordan and Batum and a guy four inches taller than Thomas to bother the great PGs they will face in the playoffs in Beverley and Walker. Walker's play style will work much better with LeBron because he doesn't have to have the ball to be effective.

Hornets start the rebuild with two picks inside the top ten in a very talented draft class while still being able to hit the cap floor for the next few years.

Clippers can offer IT big-ish contract if they'd like, or get him off the books. Kevin Love can be a force in the pick and roll with Collison and space the floor for Griffin. They can go for the playoffs if they'd like, or tank starting next year by trading Griffin and flipping Love who will only have two years left on his deal with a team option. Rose is exciting and would play with Lou Williams well, and is an expiring deal. Zizic is a young and scrappy 4 for the future.

Cavs line up in the playoffs with

PG Walker/Beverley/Calderon
SG Batum/Wade/Korver
SF LeBron/Green/Osman
PF Crowder/Green/Frye
C Jordan/Frye

Some guys like LeBron, Green, Batum, Crowder, and Wade play without a true position on the defensive end, but that's kind of the idea with teams like the Warriors.

Cavs can't trade both 2018 picks. They traded 2017 and 2019 already, so they have to keep one of them.

beverly is out for the season. they could pick up his team option for next year, but that's the soonest he will be on the floor.
