Who's the winner in last summers trade between LA Lakers and the Nets?

Nets: Russell+ Mozgov
LA: B Lopez+ Kuzma

Honestly, it seems like a push. Russell and Kuzma are pretty similarly talented at this point. Maybe one takes the next step, but it seems like you’ve got two above average starters.

If you told me I could have one (ignoring contracts entirely), I’d probably take Russell, but it’s really close. And obviously Kuzma is younger.

The lakers also dumped a bad contract for a shorter bad contract, so the lakers win there. But the Nets don’t care about cap space, they’re not signing anyone. So again, both teams are happy.

Overall, a surprising win-win trade. Both teams should be happy with it.

It should be more like, who screwed up less. In that case i'd lean Lakers.

I think Lakers should kept mozgov. I think they should drafted brown instead of Ingram and could got Tatum instead of ball.

Then both Deng and mozgov have two years left on contract after this season. So Lakers could trade future picks plus Nance jr. To off mozgov and stretch Deng. Then have cap for two max contracts plus have those 5 players.
