Grizzlies Offseason-

Step 1: (Staff)
Hire J.B. Bickerstaff as their head coach on a one year deal to se what he can do for a full season.

Step 2: (Trade)
Trade Marc Gasol to the San Antonio Spurs for their 2018 first round pick, 2021 second round pick, Patty Mills, and Danny Green (expiring)

Step 3: (Draft)
-Draft Michael Porter Jr. with the 5th pick
-Draft Brandon McCoy with the 26th pick

Step 4: (Free agency)
-Let Tyreke Evans walk for a bigger contract
-Resign Mario Chalmers to the MLE
-Exercise Brice Johnson's option

Step 5: (Post Free Agency)
-Send youth to the summer league and fill G-League spots with undrafted rookies+young, unproven players
-Make use of training camps for young players

Gasol is worth more than a late first.

No way ANY head coach would sign a 1 yr deal, unless it's an extension . 3 to 5 yr minimum.

The point is that the Grizzlies are trying to gain assets in this deal. This is just the preliminary basis of the deal. You can always throw in Deounte Murray if you want to sweeten the pot for Memphis. Yo are right though XXX he's worth more than a late first and I think Murray and possibly another draft pick would send this deal through.

Gasol is worth more, but he's aging and had some injurys, so i'm not sure you can get fair value for him.

I like Memphis trading him for a pick.
