Jordan opts in

S and T

The Clippers get Jabari Parker 5 years 125 million dollars with a clause that if he misses more than 20 games in a season they can void the contract.

The Bucks get Deandre Jordan.

I would be shocked if the players association and his agent allowed a clause like that.

I would think the Clippers would also want a pick?, Plus, as Bmiller stated. I also don't think the Players association, and his agent would accept it. (But, its not a bad idea! )

There's something in Embiid's extension similar. That's where I got the idea from and why should the Clippers get a 1st Jordan can walk either way.

20 games? That's a regular season for Evan Fournier. I'd really be surprised to see Parker sign a 5 year deal too, or get much north of 20.

Jordan has stated he wants to stay with the Clippers. So, It might take a 1st. rd. pick plus a player to get him? It would have to be someone the Clippers really want. they were very high on Brogdan before?

@jorgawood, Parker was offered 54 Mil. for 3 years (18 mil. a year) and turned it down, Stating he wants a Max contract. I just don't think he's earned a max contract. I believe he hasn't played a full season in 3 years now. 2-3 surgeries already on his knees isn't a good sign for a player that young, to be asking for a max contract. I agree with rkene_16. Put in a clause stating he must complete at least 1 season without injury. Then start it at 18-20 a year. Or make it a year by year contract? Why pay him to sit?

The Bucks can take Jordan for free and let Parker go, so why should they give a pick or brogdon? Plus i think that MIL plans to keep Jabari as their 6th. He could be both batman for 12-14 minutes with Giannis on the bench and robin along him for another 20-22 minutes.

I wouldn't think The Bucks want to pay a player a max contract to be a 6th man filler. I would rather either Sign and trade Parker, or let him walk, and save the money for Jordan. The Bucks need a defensive rebounding center more than anything.

So you are aware, this would never work. Embiid had a very specific clause in his contract. As ESPN wrote:

Across each of the final four seasons of the extension, ending with the 2022-23 season, the 76ers could waive Embiid for a financial benefit if he's lost because of a contractually agreed-upon injury that causes him to miss 25 or more regular-season games and if he plays fewer than 1,650 minutes, league sources said.

It wasn't just for amount of games. The injuries were given in great detail. i'm not sure the exact wording, but it would need to be tailored to the injury, and a torn ACL would never be accepted by the NBPA. That is too common an injury, even for a player never having torn his ACL. It just won't work for parker.
