Spurs/ Sixers:

To PHI - Leonard

To SAS - Covington, Saric, 2018 LAL 1st, 2018 PHI 1st, 2018 Knicks 2nd, 2020 PHI 1st

Should the Sixers not feel like they can land LBJ, going after Kawhi would make sense for them. KL, Joel, Simmons and Fultz could terrorize the L for years.

Spurs land a underrated Covington who is on a very reasonable contract (AAV of $11M for 4 more seasons), there starting PF for the future, and a cache of picks. I know some people have suggested Fultz be a target, but I think Covington is the way to go. Also, I do believe the Spurs already have their PG of the future in Dejonte, who does not have Fultz upside, but I would rather him and Covington vs. him and Fultz, and then trying to fill the SF hole without cap space. With three firsts this year, there is an opportunity to get two quality players and stash a good prospect with the Philly pick.

I like this for both teams as long as KL agrees to sign after the season.

That's the key, Wiz. If he re-signs. That is why S. A. may have trouble getting full worth for Leonard. If he doesn't want to sign an extension, teams are nor giving up top dollar for him.

Covington saric and 1 decent first? I think since leonard only has 1 year and is coming off a injury. This might be the best they can get. the other 1st are garbage if Leonard end up playing and sticking around with the sixers.
