76ers get: Robin Lopez, 2018 1st Rd pick via Pelicans (22nd overall)

Bulls get a 3-and-D forward to slot between Markkanen and LaVine. Then they hope they're able to draft Mo Bamba.

76ers get more cap relief from Covington's large extension and create an opening at SF for LeBron/Kawhi. Also get a 1st rounder & a dependable rotation piece on an expiring deal.

covington is no star, he’s an above-average role player. this return is fair if philly is interested in rolo (i don't see it, would take minutes from saric)

You're only moving Covington if it's to create extra cap space to sign two stars. Rolf's contract makes this a deal of no interest to the Sixers.

Sixers pass. Covington is not a star, but a very good player, and more importantly, a very good fit and accepts his role.

Yep, Sixers pass. RoCo's deal is below market. That deal stinks for Philly.
