I am a Phoenix fan but I can’t see Memphis doing that trade if the Phoenix pick next year is that heavily protected.

Memphis gets rid of Parsons' contract which has 3 years 62 million left. Gain a young more talented wing who just signed a 4 year 50 million deal (only 12.5m a year) . Memphis gains cap space and 3 picks while dumping an awful contract in Parsons. Sign free agents to compete for a playoff spot. They still got Conley and Gasol and they are not yet ready for a full rebuilt IMO.

Oh and on top of that, MEM 2019 pick is with the BOS (protected top 8) so gaining 2 picks for next season is a win for them. 3 picks on the teens at thr least for the 4th pick is I enough IMO.
