Lebron to Spurs? How could it be possible?

CLE/SAS

CLE get Rudy Gay (exp), Patty Mills, Pau Gasol (waive), 18th pick, 2021 1st rd pick unprotected

SAS get LeBron James (s&t)

since the Spurs don't have enough cap space, they assembled some package to make Cavs do a sign and trade. I don't know if it's good but here's the new Spurs line up

resign Parker
any cap remaining sign Noel

throw in max extension to Kawhi

Pg Murray/Parker/Forbes
Sg Green/Ginobili/Paul
Sf Kawhi/Anderson
Pf LeBron/Bertans
Ce Aldridge/Noel/Lauvergne

Cavs hang up laughing. They would get better deals for LeBron.

2 first round picks, for a player that can walk for free isn't bad. But i LBJ trade must bring the Cavs under the luxury tax, to make them do it.

They can't really negotiate with multiple teams. If he offers to opt in to be traded, it's for the one team he wants to go to. In that case, the return is minimal. Like the Chris Paul trade last year, the return was decent, but not more than this.

If Lebron opts in, then he negotiates his trade destination. Or, Cleveland can let him walk for nothing.

You have it all wrong. LBJ Negotiates a trafe destination, then he opts in.

So the Cavs get the 18th pick for Lebron and they don't even get to dump any of their bad salaries to a third team. Uhh no lol.
