What does LeBron want from a team? A chance to compete with Golden State. My guess is a team that has stars who can take some of the burden off LeBron. I think Minnesota fits what LeBron wants. If Minnesota's players were in LA, no doubt LeBron would want to play with them. But the only way LeBron can play with Towns and Butler is Minnesota.

So, LeBron opts in and Cleveland trades him and Kyle Korver to Minnesota for Andrew Wiggins, Gorgui Dieng, and pick 20.

it'd be interesting. I'm curious how the Cavs look at at Wiggins contract though. They might prefer a third team getting involved so that they can take back less salary.

Lebron is not opting in. He has until June 29th to opt in or not. July 1st is the 1st day that you can technically speak with free agents. Lebron is expected to take a little while on his decision. I doubt he opts in. If so, he would not want to go to Minnesota.

Even if he did, this trade is not close to enough. Wiggins has lowered his trade value soooo much as of late. He was even offered straight up for Blake Griffin and the Clippers said no because nobody wants to take on his contract. it raises from 25 to 33 million each year over the next 5 years. Unless he's considered a superstar, it's a waste of cap room that could be used to sign an actual superstar.

Gpack17. Wiggins was never offered for Griffin. The Clippers offered Griffin for Towns.

@carl006 as far as what was reported to the media, yes. The clippers offered blake for towns and were rejected. I have heard from people in the clippers front office that the twolves rebuttled with wiggins for blake and were rejected. Do people really think that all of a sudden wiggins is being mentioned as being traded? He was being offered before, they were just being unrealistic.
