If Melo will go to Cleveland
Thunder get Tristan Thompson, and Jordan Clarkson
Cavs get Melo a 2nd round pick if need be

Thunder adds bench depth and Cavs clear more cap space for next off-season which would be nice for them if the decide they want to enter a rebuild since lebron is gone.

Melo wouldn't, but if I were the Cavs I'd push for a 1st.

The nba is and will remain a joke! Right now GSW. LAL. Bos. Phil. and possibly Tor. That's the legitimate contenders and everyone else is left out or on the middle of the road treadmill accepting playoff scraps. Super teams ruined the league and it's a joke being played on every city of teams that are left out.

True, the rockets are in there somewhere. I don't see the Lakers beating the rockets in a series. Next season anyway. Possible.

Calm down Tribe fan. It's benefitted us Clevelandfans 6 out of the past 10 years. It's not like big markets are just dominating little markets or something. OKC, Cleveland, Miami, San Antonio, and even a places like GS or The Clippers (sort of in big markets but basically jokes) have all had their time in the sun recently. The league has a lot more parody than the days when the Lakers and Celtics made almost every final. The league can't help that having 2 or 3 of the top players in the league makes you that much better than everyone else. Are they suppose to punish teams for drafting well. Honestly, next year or the year after may end up being the most open year's we've had in a long time. Golden State looks to be diminishing. They still have great players, but injuries were mounting up and they were a healthy Chris Paul away from a lot of trouble. Boston and Philly look like they're on the verge of being really good. Anthony Davis looks close to being the games best player. Minnesota is interesting. If OKC can improve on their Melo problem, they have a nice team. Milwaukee with a new coach could be dangerous. Let's not cry because the Cavs are atleast a few years away from being relevant again.

Super Teams have been around forever. From the 50's and 60s Celtics to the 80's Celtics and Lakers, to the 90's Bulld. The NBA has always been top heavy.

@joeb mid 2000s suns might be the best team that never won a finals.

But the way Super Teams were built has changed dramatically. It was done via Scouting, the Draft and the ability to negotiate. Now its done by no-trade clauses, Players taking less salary to pick up more back end money via endorsements etc etc. I mean to me the success model has been the Spurs. They draft well, trade well and spend their cap money wisely.

@dacman813 the spurs did do all those things. Lately? In the last 6 seasons?
