Love is an all star and without Lebron a borderline superstar he was a 26 and 13 guy so he’s worth multiple firsts with Deng.

Except for 26 and 13 in a losing effort. Not to take away from Love’s talent, but what was Minny’s record while he was putting up those numbers?

It’s the same as the DMC in Sacramento argument, or even Abdur-Rahim back in the day. Someone’s got to put up numbers, even the worst NBA teams score 94 and grab 36 boards a game. It’s if you put up numbers AND make your team better is what makes a Superstar.

Triangle, in all fairness that team improved every year and was 40 and 42 in his last year. Love doesn't control the ball and therefor can't be the best player on a good team, but I don't think it's ridiculous to say he could be the 2nd best player on a really good team (even without the best player being a Lebron level talent) if used right and obviously, he can be the 3rd best player on championship level team. If you threw him on the Bucks, Wizards, Heat, Trailblazers, Rockets or etc. he could really help those teams. He was a really good player for the Cavs and it's not hard to make an argument that they never used him right or give him enoguh/ the right touches. Everything catered to Lebron and then this year they started to play through Love more. He was putting up great number. Then all of the stuff with IT happened and his injury. They stopped giving Love anything.

Those 26 pts and 13rbs days were along time ago. He's had a good amount of injuries and those Timberwolves teams sucked.

Love's value was diminished considerably when celtics lost with him out and then cavs were swept with him in the lineup. He's a 24 mil a year 4th or 5th fiddle. Draymond green is cheaper and is more impactful to his team as 4th fiddle. Love could be great for someone when his salary goes down. Then he can be added without subtraction.

4th or 5th option? They won a championship with him as a #3 option. They went to the finals last year with him as the second best player. PFs with Lebron struggle, his numbers had to diminish playing with him. Doesn't mean he's a terrible player.

I'd put him in the same category as Draymond, McCollum, Aldridge, Beal, Drummond, Middleton. Guys that can't lead a team, but can be the third of a "big 3" that competes for a ring. Or a first or second option on a team that competes for a playoff spot. He should still have value. He's slightly overpaid, but not egregiously.

I don't think he over paid he in the third year of his contract and with the cap changing his max should be around 40 mil being third year of contract so he getting 15 mil less then max. Plus if draymond was under new cap his contract be different so the change of cap is y players contacts look messed up.

If Draymond green is a 4th option then love is definitely a 4th. Love isn't as good as green. I'd rather have favors for the money. Love is Ryan Anderson. A little better.
