Cleveland trades: Collin Sexton, J. R. Smith and Tristan Thompson

Orlando trades: Evan Fournier and Nikola Vucevic

Why for Cleveland? Acquire a couple of established players that fit into the roster. Fournier is severely underrated and Vucevic gives us a back to the basket big, which is very useful in the playoffs - get rid of two bad contracts in the process also.

Why for Orlando? This is all about getting a very good prospect that could be their future at point guard. The Magic are a rebuilding team so getting rid of two win now players shouldn't hurt them at all.

PG: George Hill | Jordan Clarkson
SG: Evan Fournier
SF: Cedi Osman
PF: Kevin Love | Larry Nance
C: Nikola Vucevic | Ante Zizic

I realize that frontcourt defense could be an issue, but I don't think Vucevic is a downgrade in that regard over Thompson.

Why would the Cavs give up Sexton? That line up might not even make the playoffs and the upside of that team is a 1st round exit? What’s the point?

I think that's a very balanced line-up.

If by balanced you mean that all of the players outside of Love are below average starters than yes. Hill is a low end starter at this point. Fournier and Vucevic are both guys who put up solid offensive numbers on a terrible team. Osman has an interesting skill set, but he’s going from 4th or 5th option to a guy who is going to have to create in that lineup. He’s going to have growing pains. Why give up a player that has allstar upside for Fournier and Vucevic? If they still had Lebron, I could see rolling the dice, but this just guarantees they don’t get next year’s pick and they trade away this year’s pick in the deal.

As a magic fan I do it.
