Cavs receive: Bayless, '19 top 24 protected 1st (converts to 2 seconds)

Phi receive: Lamb
Hor receive: Bayless, '19 unprotected 1st, '21 2nd

Phi receive: Ross
Magic receive: Bayless, '19 top 24 protected 1st (converts to 2 seconds)

Phi receive: Dudley
Brooklyn receive: Bayless, '19 2nd

Phi receive: Waiters
Heat receive: Bayless, '19 & '20 2nd

Phi receive: Thomas
NY receive: Bayless '19 2nd

What are your thoughts on the above?

Sixers go for the Ross, Korver or the Dudley trades. Waiters is stilled owed $40 million over the next 3 years. Lb isn't worth an unprotected first (injuries could make it a valuable pick), and Thomas is 8 mill ecyra against the cap next year. But Ross and Dude are both expiring (as is Bayless), at nearly the same cap hit. And Korver is a good fit and worth a very late first or 2 second Rd picks.

Orlando may say yes but it would have to be bare minimum Lottery protected 1st, not top 24.

Oldskoolmagic: Ross and Bayless are both expiring, ross makes $10m, bayless $8.6m. Would you give up a 1-14 protected pick for Ross? The GM who would will be sitting next to me in the cheap seats watching the game.

JVoug: I said lottery protected 1st. Orlando would only get the 1st if it falls out of the lottery. That would be fair compensation for Ross. He is a way better player than Bayless.

why would the cavaliers want jerryd bayless and older shorter version of clarkson. his contract expires in 2019 so the trade is exclusively for the draft pick which shold have only top 14 protected status. tj mcdonnel is a better choice than bayless.
