Rockets making moves to accommodate Melo by trading Chinanu Onuaku and cash to the Mav's for 2nd rd. swap to open up a roster spot.

Melo to Houston is all but a done deal. Think he'll start?

BTEC -- Anthony has made two things clear:
1. He will cause trouble if he doesn't start.
2. He plans to return to his old style of play -- hold the ball for a good portion of the shot clock, then try to create his own shot.
-
Toss in the usual matador defense where he doesn't bother getting past halfcourt some of the time, and that's a recipe for disaster for Houston. It looks like a step back for the team --stiff price to pay just to give Harden and Paul a buddy they can club with.

I think Houston will see how starting will go, but then things will turn south and the marriage will sour and they'll trade/ release him.

Welcome back Super, glad to see you on the Melo hate tour again.

Did Melo accidentally spill his Green beer on you at a St. Paddy’s day party in Boston once? Trying to figure out your blinding and enduring hate for the man.

I actually agree with Super on this one. Melo has been a great scorer in the past, but he's no longer that guy. The unfortunate thing is he can't come to grips with it. If he ever could wrap his head around it, he still has the physical ability to be a contributor on a championship team, and if anyone can, Paul and Harden should be able to make him realize it. if not, he will be dumped. Those two aren't going to settle for moving backward at this point, especially where Paul is in his career.

Waiving a minimum contract v. s. 25+ mil with a no trade clause is significantly easier with less debate.
