How bad does LA want to rid themselves of Deng and is horrible contract? Could sign 2 max players if they do. LA is a star driven big market city, not a "wait for the youth to develop" type town.

Sixers get: Deng(and his 2 years and $$37million guranteed), Ingram

Lakers get: Wilson Chandler($12.5 mill expiring), Bayless($8.6 mill expiring).
Sixers can't draw star free agents, need to develop you guys and surround them with vet role players. Lakers clear an extra $26 million next year to sign 2 max players and another near max deal. Still have Ball, Hart, and Kuzma for youth.. Could work for both teams.

Which ingram? Not the one 1 your referring to sixer fan. Simmons suck. Embiid is 1 injury away from retirement.

Lakers window is closing with LBJ. He'll be 34 this year. I think waiting on Ball, Hart, Kuzma, and Ingram for another 2 years to hopefully become complete players is not in the plans, and Deng is the huge road block. And Chandler is a solid vet who can contribute right away. LBJ already opened his school, don't think he wants to " teach" kids on the court full time.

Jvoug, I know how much you love the Sixers. But I don’t see us helping out the Lakers UNLESS, they give up Kuzma and maybe an unprotected 1st Rnd pick. Mainly because of the amount and length of Dieng’s contract.

Sixer4Life, Deng has 2 years on his contract, this year and the following year. That's it. I think Ingram is the perfect young SF with length and tremendous offensive potential. And helping the Lakers for a couple years won't really matter, they aren't getting through Golden State anytime soon. I just feel that any big-time free agents next year still won't sign in Philly, so using the cap space on Deng, in order to get Ingram is worth it.
