Trade deadline possibility if Butler puts TWolves in a bad place and teams don't want to risk assets for half a season of Butler.

Thunder get Butler and Patton
T-Wolves get Schroder, Ferguson, Abrines, and 2 seconds
This trade would work I checked.

T-Wolves get a player that is still kinda young in Schroder that still hasn't reached his best, a good young prospect in Ferguson, a player to knock down 3's and improving at defense in Abrines, and 2 2nd round picks. This trade package is in the same ball park as what pacers got for George Schroder isn't quite oladipo and Ferguson might not be as imediate of a pay off as Sabonis but still has great potential. This is why I also threw in Abrines to make the money match and give them someone who can knock down the 3 and he has an expiring contract, I also added the 2 2nds to make it better. I know y'all are going to say no way they can get more, but everyone said that with George as well. And it depends on how bad of a spot Butler puts them in he could make it bad enough they just don't want to lose him for nothing but teams don't want to take a risk on him if he says he is entering FA.
Thunder do this because they can't make any big signings in FA unless they have bird rights to go over the luxury tax limit since they are already way over. They would have bird rights so they could sign Butler. Butler has said he wants to win and thunder is in a serious win now mode. Once Westbrook and Georges contract is up who knows what will happen and they are creeping closer and closer to older age. Thunder has a good core to build around now and this would give them better shooting and defense and a nice athletic big 3.
If this happened trade Singler for a filler at PG or PF no one good just a backup if absolutely needed. Then sign someone for the other position.

Thunder line up
Westbrook/ Felton/?
Butler/ TLC/ Diallo
George/ Roberson/ Nader
Grant/ Patterson/?
Adams/ Noel/ Patton
This team would make the conference finals.

I would have to think that schroeder and wiggins would be the least efficient, worst shooting, and potentially worst defensive backcourt in the history of the nba. Not even exaggerating there. The wolves would be better letting butler walk than taking on schroeder.
