Oh the irony. the cavs pay a buttload for the downward spiral of loves career, but also take back wiggins once its been determined he is a horrible addition to a team and is paid a max.

Congrats, that would guarentee untradeable and awful players for years to come!

I'm sure the championship trophy that Cleveland has that they wouldn't have without Love helps with their "overpay" of "the downward spiral of Love's career".

A 3 year old trophy collecting dust is coming up with the 30 mil per season love costs for 3 years after this season? Love is un-trade-able now until that contract expires. You think deng and noahs' 18 mil is bad?

Love had his best season in Cleveland last year and is an allstar. Comparing that contract to Deng or noah’s, 2 guys that have been essentially unplayable for there entire contracts, is ridiculous. That’s not even to mention that Deng and even more so Noah’s games were predictated on movement and hustle. While Love’s game is dependent on shooting, positioning, and strength. Hustle players tend to age poorly. Shooters typically have long careers.

The cavs will be more than happy with love until 2022 I'm sure.

Exactly what rkenne said. I'd pay an all star 30 million over a third stringer 17 million without hesitation. You can win a championship with Love as a top 3 option on a team (proven) .

Also, I understood the "pay a buttload for the downward spiral of loves career" statement as the last 3 years, not the future. If I get Kevin Love 3 years ago, and I make the finals 3 times and win one with him, I have zero regrets about that trade.
