HOU - LAL - MIL

Houston gets Snell
Lakers get Henson, Dellavedova
Bucks get Anderson, Deng, HOU 1st 2019, LAL 1st 2019

Why Rockets? They get a 3 and D wing needed for their rotation. They also save 10 mil, which is valuable as they are deep in the tax now.

Why Lakers? They get two players that can contribute with Deng's money at the cost of a first. They still keep space to sign a max player like Kawhi and avoid streching Deng, which won't give them either way a second max spot.

Bucks get two late 1sts from their three bad contracts. They don't take more money back considering Snell's third year. Should they resign Middleton and Brogdon next year they won't have money for FA, so these picks will be really usefull to them.

I believe the Bucks would pass.

Milwaukee is a better team in the short term and long term not doing this trade. Picks that late are a gamble and thejr defense would be really bad.

I’d just keep snell and Henson. Atleast they’re both in the rotation. There’s no real guarantee those picks are even that and that’s so much bad salary to take on.

Ya agree finally with torque the bucks pass for horrible contracts and really late 1sts Deng and Anderson’s contracts are just dumb!

Bucks will be like this after that

Bledsoe/ Brogdon/ Duval
Brown/ DDV/ Morris
Middleton/ Connaughton/ Deng
Giannis/ Anderson/ Wilson
Lopez/ Ilyasova/ Maker

They remain deep, but they need Brown and DDV to step up. If they resign Middleton and Brogdon and keep Bledsoe and Lopez for one more year they will be at the tax either way. With that trade they will have picks 20,22,28 which will be really helpful for a team with no money to spend.

@nmilpso, . Deng @33 yrs old is scheduled to make 36 Mil. (18 Mil. per year) for the next 2 years.
Ryan @30 yrs old is scheduled to make 41 Mil. (20 and 21 Mil. ) for the next 2 years. for the next 2 years.
That's 77 Mil. for 2 players in their 30's that would be non-starters. It seems just a bit much, wouldn't you agree?

@torque Delly, Snell, Henson combined are scheduled to make 75.2 mil, so Bucks don't take more salary with that. Plus they get rid of Snell's third year, which is important as they should make a hit in FA 2020 to convince GIannis to stay. This is the first benefit and the second is the two 1sts.

Bucks will go in the 2020 FA with this core

Brogdon/ pick 20
Brown/ DDV/
Middleton/ pick 22
Giannis/ Wilson
Maker/ Pick 28

And 40 million to spend for 1-2 players that will take them to the next level. It's a risky plan, but I think better than doing nothing.

@milpso, First, You're comparing 75 mil. for 3 players, against 77 Mil. for 2 players? Second, Last year, Henson and Snell both started, and Dellevedova was the off the bench. When was the time Anderson and Deng started? It still seems like a lot for 2 bench players to me. I'd rather pay the 3 younger players money.

I just prefer Brown, DDV, Maker taking Snell's, Delly's, Henson's minutes. Bucks need to make some guality players since they can't get any from FA. Anderson can hit some 3s for Bud and even Deng may still have something to contribute. Next summer you have three mid high picks to grow your core. And you go to FA 2020 with money and a really appealing roster to convince a superstar join the team. Sorry @torque this is the way I see it!
